Coast to Coast is a family run surf school with 3 experienced British Surf Association (BSA) instructors. We pride ourselves on providing high quality friendly instruction in the art of surfing. Teaching you the importance of safety and wave ettiquette while having fun learning how to catch waves and stand!

Surfing with Coast to Coast is open to all ages (from 7 to 70) and we have a range of lessons and surf courses that introduce beginners, improvers and intermediates to the fun and enjoyment of Scotland's beautiful coastline. We also cater for individuals and group bookings.

Coast to Coast offer surf lessons at the closest consistently surfable beach to Edinburgh and Glasgow - Belhaven bay (next to the sunny coastal town of Dunbar). We have our headquarters in Dunbar but are independent of any physical surf shop and as such are flexible to offer surf lessons 7 days a week (including evenings) locally at Belhaven beach or if the surf is poor we can also offer surf adventures with our experienced guides searching for perfect waves on the most remote edges of Scotland's mainland and Islands (see surf tours).

We don't believe in waiting lists, so if you're flexible and want to surf we can get you in the water within the week!

Oct 9th - Oct 19th 2008. Surf gone flat and will be over the weekend with the first sign of east coast surf middle of next week. There maybe a bigger swell for the 18th/19th weekend but its in the balance. Junior Summer surfing lessons Coast to Coast are again offering excellent October Holiday surfing lessons for junior surfers aged 9yrs to 15yrs. These courses are very popular so please book in advance.

Beginners Weekends Coast to Coast still have a few spaces on the Nov beginners weekends

Surf n Yoga Coast to Coast will be teaming up with Annie Beatty, for professional yoga instruction alongside our surf lessonsevery Saturday at 12.30am until 21st June please see lessons for more info.

Scottish Surf Competitions The Scottish surfing scene is about to kick back in with local Belhaven surf club competition at Belhaven on October 11th/12th with the Gathering of the Clans on October 25th/26th following quickly behind. The Scottish bodyboarding championships will also be held in October in a still to be decided venue and date.
