BOOKINGS

How can I book?

»All our bookings are now online, just navigate to product you want to book, select time and date in the calendar and click ‘BOOK NOW’

 

How do I know what is your availability?

»You can see all the available spaces in the calendar on our website, after navigating to the chosen product.

»Please note, the booking system closes 24 or 12 hours before the lesson. If you want to make a last minute booking, we recommend sending us an email or giving us a call.

 

Can I book over the phone?

»Best is to book online, as we merged our booking form and online waiver system. You will fill in all the details yourself which you will find easier and less time consuming.

»In case you struggle, there is a technical problem or you need to place a special order, please give us a call or send us an email.

LESSONS

What lessons do you offer?

»You can see our current product portfolio under category – SURF, SUP, SURF SKATE, Coasteering in the dropdown menu after moving your mouse on the tab on our website.

 

How much is a lesson?

»All our lessons are £45 for adults and £35 for juniors, including the equipment.

 

How long is a lesson for?

»Lessons last for 2 hours.

 

At what age do you start lessons for juniors?

»Age limit for Surfing and Coasteering is 7 years old. For Stand up Paddle boarding it’s 13 years old. This is due to the size and weight of paddle boards.

 

Can I come if I am complete beginner?

»Yes, our Level 1 lessons are for complete beginners as well as for people who already had couple of lessons. However, you need to be able to swim.

 

How do I know what my level is?

»You can find level guides for SUP and SURF under the corresponding tabs on our website.

Do you provide the equipment?

»Yes, all the equipment is included in the price of the lesson.

 

What do I need to bring?

»You only need your swimming costume and a towel if you want. We also have machine operated hot showers so we recommend bringing a pound coin.

 

Can I bring my own equipment?

»Yes, you can, but we recommend consulting beforehand with the instructor to check if it’s suitable for the lesson.

 

If the lesson is full, can I be put on a waiting list?

»In case there is no space on the lesson you wan to come, send us an email with the time and date of the lesson you are interested in and we will be in touch in case the space frees up!

 

Where do we meet for a lesson?

»All our sports and lessons start at Belhaven Surf Centre

HIRES

How long is the hire session for?

»The hire session lasts for 2 hours.

How much is hire?

»The price to hire a Soft-top surf board is £15. Hardboards are for £20. Wetsuit (extra accessories included) £10, Bodyboard £10, Extra accessories £5 (boots, gloves, hood – in case you are not hiring a wetsuit)

Do I need to book in advance?

»»Yes.

How do I know there will be waves?

»We recommend checking surf forecast www.magicseaweed.com. Type in Belhaven Bay. Usually, 1-2ft+ is a good indication there will be waves.

Can I hire equipment if I have never surfed?

»We hire the equipment only to customers who previously had a lesson –not necessarily with us!

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF…?

The weather is terrible?

»We closely monitor the forecast. In case we see that the weather will be not suitable for your lesson, we will be in touch via email or a text usually day before to let you know your options (switching to a different sport, rescheduling for some other time or a refund). Sometimes the conditions change unexpectedly, in that case we would be in touch first things in the morning. We recommend checking your email (and spam folder) before coming for the lesson or hire.

 

There’s no waves?

»If we see that the forecast is looking flat, we will get in touch to let you know usually day before. You will have an option of a refund or rescheduling. Customers sometimes decide to come anyway, especially when the weather is nice!

 

You fall ill?

»We are happy for you to give your spot to a friend or a family member- just let us know before so we can change the information on our system.

»We offer full refund if someone tests positive or needs to self-isolate. Other cases are assessed on the individual basis.
