Comprehensive Surf Instruction

Pairing world-class surfing techniques with land training, visual feedback & theory

Coast to Coast’s holistic approach to surf instruction offers a more detailed and thorough understanding of all elements of surfing. This is a big factor for progressing in the sport.

Our land training options progress your understanding in the physical elements required for surfing. Surf Skate classes for example help with the understanding of the body movements needed to perfect manoeuvres in the sea. But being on land can be easily repeatable and filmed to get right. By developing muscle memory in the correct technique, you’ll be comfortable repeating in the water and fast progression will follow!

In the surf centre we also partner with KOSA YOGA and experienced Yoga teacher, Diane to look at the key areas of  flexibility & strength.

Photo & video analysis is an extremely helpful way to visualise where improvements need to be made on your technique. In our more advanced courses we film your lessons and set aside time to analyse footage in the surf centre, discussing areas you can improve and small steps to do this.

Lastly, our theory classes look at everything around surfing from the equipment you should use, to the waves you surf and how to read and understand the sea.

By combining surf theory, video analysis, land training and water sessions your surfing and understanding can consistently improve whether your in the sea or not. Light bulb moments can happen after a single coaching session but big progress happens with structured consistent courses and coaching.
