We are delighted to announce that the Scottish Surfing Federation has selected two young surfers from Dunbar to represent Scotland at the World Junior Surfing Championships in Peru this December.

Joel Christopherson and Rosie Moore have both been chosen for the national junior team. Their selection is a huge achievement for the surfers, their families and the wider East Lothian surf community.

Representing Scotland on the World Stage

Joel, aged 14, will compete against some of the best young surfers in the world.

Joel said:

It’s amazing to be heading to a competition with the best juniors in the world. I’m going to learn so much.”

Both Joel and Rosie will compete in the Under 16 and Under 18 divisions. The competition offers them the chance to gain valuable experience surfing world class waves while competing internationally.
